K is for Kindergarten!

The days are balanced with work and play. Our exciting program engages all children. We spend time building friendships and working together as a classroom community. Our work on sharing, taking turns, and solving conflicts helps us to better understand our friends’ feelings.
We have a strong literacy program based on great literature and application of early reading skills. In the world of writing, the kindergartners experiment with composing their own messages and thoughts on paper. Math is an active time of the day as we work with our friends to learn about topics such as number concepts, patterns, categorization, and measurement. Our 100th Day of School activities is a special time for us to share what we know about numbers. Our curriculum is enriched by science and social studies topics. Over the course of the year, we study various aspects of life, physical, and earth sciences. In social studies, we travel around the world through map making and learning about winter festivals of light.
