What is Emerson's Discovery Zone?

Discovery Zone is a sensory-based recess in the garden area offered during some lunch recesses. All kids are welcome! Kids know if it's open when the Discovery Zone sign is up on the left as they exit the cafeteria.

Discovery Zone activities: Drawing, card games, toy cars, blocks, play-dough, origami, and more! It’s a great opportunity for unstructured, quieter play.

We would like to offer Discovery Zone on as many days as possible, and we depend on parent volunteers to make this happen! Can you volunteer 2-4 times/month from 11:30 - 12:45? Contact us if you'd like more information or are ready to help out!
