May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and we’ll celebrate with Emerson students on May 14 during lunch recess. We’re looking for parents/family members to help on this day. Contact us to volunteer!
To celebrate Susan Hodge's incredible career as an educator at Emerson, the PTA is hosting a party in her honor on Sunday, June 9th at the Lake Temescal Beach House from 3:30 to 7:30. All parents are invited and encouraged to celebrate with us. This event will be for adults only.

Emerson is sending two students to the district-wide Black History Oratorical Festival, which will be held in the Longfellow Middle School Auditorium on 3/26! Come support our kids and hear some amazing performances!
We will work on our School Site Plan for next year, 2019 - 20, presenting and discussing various staffing and budget scenarios for next year and sharing the results of our Family Engagement Survey from this year. These meetings are open to the public, and I hope you consider joining us. While we don't have formal childcare, we do have snacks and the kids can read and hang out together. Get excited for our first Science Fair coming to Emerson next Tuesday, MARCH 19th! Thanks to Mr. Junsay for organizing and to all the parents who have signed up to help. Volunteers are needed in 1-hour shifts between 8:15am and 12pm. Learn more & sign up here.
