We will work on our School Site Plan for next year, 2019 - 20, presenting and discussing various staffing and budget scenarios for next year and sharing the results of our Family Engagement Survey from this year. These meetings are open to the public, and I hope you consider joining us. While we don't have formal childcare, we do have snacks and the kids can read and hang out together. Emerson is sending two students to the district-wide Black History Oratorical Festival, which will be held in the Longfellow Middle School Auditorium on 3/26! Come support our kids and hear some amazing performances!

Mark your calendars! Join us on Friday, January 18 from 5-6pm in the Cafetorium for the Emerson Enrichment Winter Performances. Celebrate students from Music & Dance, Capoeira and Choir classes. See the pop-up gallery featuring work from the 2D Art class and Comic Book Arts. There will be light snacks. All are welcome.
We will start our rally with inspirational performances in the cafeteria from K, 3rd, and 4th grades, and head out for the March in the Elmwood neighborhood between 9:00 and 9:30. I hope you can come along to enjoy the show and to show your own spirit on our march. Extra supervision and participation is always appreciated!
