Build, Engineer, Invent Festival from The Lawrence Hall of Science:
This hands-on design challenge experience brings out the engineer and architect in everyone. This 50-minute program held in the Emerson Cafetorium is designed to give students and adults a free-flowing, hands-on experience with applied engineering. Explore building in two and three dimensions while discovering the design properties involved in constructing giant structures, bridges, rockets and more! All the while, exploring how engineering plays a huge role in the world we live in.
We're looking for 12-14 parent/guardian volunteers for each hour session or the entire 4 hours. Sign up to help.
Parents are needed to help a bit for setup, monitor each station during the festival, and stay after to assist with packing up. Lawrence Hall says it's ideal to have the same group of volunteers from beginning to end so if you can stay all morning and sign up for 3 slots that would be amazing, but not required at all. Come for as long as you can and thank you!
